cruisin’ together

i don’t need you to stare at me

for us to be able to sing in the same tune

heads stretched for that high note

you always took the girl’s part.

you pointed at me, knowing i would sing the guy’s part

automatically

just as automatic as breathing in and out

even in your presence.
