i was going through the web and i happen to stumble upon this picture of an advertisment in India:
haba ng hair ng lola mo!!
i found it very imaginative, in fairness.
but just like the huge billboards that pose a big threat to the safety of the commuters in EDSA, i begin to wonder what is the thin line between sending your message to the consumers, and pushing it real hard.
i mean, i won’t be a hypocrite here and say i don’t like the posters. especially Polo Ravales’ FnH billboard a couple of months before. there were numerous times when that poster saved me from pure boredom in EDSA. but as a old quote says, “the bigger they are, the harder they fall. it has been proven dangerous to the motorists especially during the rainy season. not to mention the once-in-a-blue-moon accidents by people who were – how do i put this lightly – mesmerized by the scantily clothed women in the billboards. sino na nga ba ang nakatikim ng katorse anyos?
actually, i can end this entry here already, since i am not a master of advertising and their product placement schemes. i have nothing else to say. natuwa lang ako sa ad.
and the heat must really be killing a lot of brain cells.
