indeed it is.
last april 1, 2006 i finally became a believer in patience.
after 2 months of pure hardwork, bruises, cramps, muscle tears, utangs, dislocations, panic buying, pawis and more pawis i got what i deserve.
although i would have wanted to win the contest itself, di naman ako ang nagjudge sakin. and besides, overall, i had fun. i really did.
2nd runner up lang ang nakuha ko but i felt like a winner already. the thought na umabot lang ako ng top 5 i was already jumping for joy.my original goal actually was just to get a 23 waistline. i definitely got more than that!!!
the past few months have been a roller coaster ride for me. as my starbucks planner always said,”when was the last time you did something for the first time?” it has definitely been a lot of first times.
i learned that the length of time does not equate to the lessons that can be learned; that love can be unfair, but you must never be unfair to yourself; that in order to taste the sweetness of victory, you should first taste the biterness of patience and true hardwork; and in the end, after everyone else have done their part to help you along the way, you must still walk that ramp alone. it still remains your own show.
to all that helped me in this super momentous eye opening event in my life, i thank you with all my heart. i wouldn’t be here and would not be able to achieve everything without all of your help!!
